Nursery productions, by using green compost as amendment

Thanks to the increase in chemical and physical properties of posidonia residues, this biomass can be reused as compost, after a good selection of organic materials to put in the initial mixture. Different types of compost have been tested in different applications: – Nursery productions of horticultural plants grown on cultivation substrates made from green compost used as amendment – Production of horticultural species in greenhouses (tomato, lettuce, green bean, rocket and cucumber) grown on substrates made from green compost used as amendment containing residues of posidonia; – Production of ornamental plants in greenhouses; – Use of compost from both stranded posidonia residues and non-compost residues for soil amendment and as organic fertilizer – Use of posidonia compost as soil amendment for gardening
